I'm anxious to hear how much the federal government ($25M in grant money) and City of Chicago ($6.25M in local matching funds) stand to recover from the sale. Surely a public-private partnership has public reporting requirements?

Is that the same company that bought Citibike and plans to raise the prices significantly in NYC?

I believe that Alta Bikeshare merely operated the Divvy program. This city owns all the hardware: bikes, stations, trucks, etc. which was paid for by the federal grant.
The article did not mention whether bikeshare holdings would take ownership of the hardware.
We will have to wait and see if rates will increase....
