Did anybody have a red Schwinn stolen tonight?

I saw four kids (15 years old or so), Hispanic, riding on their bikes on Montrose just west of Central Park carrying a red schwinn frame. The schwinn seemed like an eighties model because of the decals. I thought it was strange that they were hauling a frame set with components without wheels but thought they might be looking to build a fixie out of an old bike.

Maybe 5 minutes later they passed me again in the opposite direction coming out of an alley without the bike. They had just past a guy in the alley with a carbon fibre road bike and I heard them saying that would be a nice bike to snatch. One of the kids then said "that bike probably has a tracker on it." Anyway, I'm guessing they dumped the schwinn just a block or so west of where I was. There are a few second hand stores around there, maybe check them out if your bike gets stolen in the Irving park/ravenswood/Lincoln square area.
