I'll start this thread off. Can any chainlinkers help?

I'll be riding the Great Allegheny Passage early next week from Pittsburgh to DC, then taking the Amtrak back to Pittsburgh. After the ride I've got a week to make my way up to north Wisconsin. I'd like to intersperse the 15 hour drive with some great out and back day-hikes or rides, or an overnighter or two.

I'm making my way to Door County in Northeast Wisconsin, and i'd like to drive through Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I've ridden UP there once, but just stayed on highway 2, I believe.

Does anyone know of some great camping or biking spots in Michigan or Northern Ohio?

I'll be on the tandem- so no rough stuff, but light mixed terrain is fine. Thanks!
