Cycling every street in Chicago?

A friend sent me this link showing the route of a guy who rode every street in London over a 4 year time period. Just wondering if anyone has done the same here?

Notes on the post say that he walked some streets or paths where bicycles are not allowed.

I've been working on trying to ride every road in the county for a number of years. It has become harder to make any progress recently, as I've ridden all the roads within 25 miles or so and I'm looking at a 50 mile ride just to get to a road that I haven't ridden. Fun project even if I never get it completed.
