Custom built tandem road bike. Excellent condition. Angled stem with drop bars in the front. Brakes, sprockets, shifters all in excellent condition. Just did a 150 mile bike race with zero problems. Built by the now-defunct Sprint Shop in Upland, Indiana, a bike shop that specialized in creating bikes for cross-country trips. My dad went on one such trip in college (all the way down A1A) and bought the bike soon after. The novelty, excellent condition, and custom design/parts makes it worth about 2k (the last time I got it appraised was last August). Since the demand for tandem road bikes isn't that high and because the chain is a bit rusty, I am dropping it to $1200. I am willing to negotiate on this price if I find a bike lover who is interested!

Can you give me some dimensions? Captain's and stoker's seat tube and top tube lengths? Components? Any problem areas (rust, dings, etc)? Close-up pix? Thx...

Sure thing!

Captain's: top - 23"    seat - 31"

Stoker's: top - 23" seat - 24"

The only major problem areas are the rusty chains. Everything else is in good working order and looks excellent. Minor paint scuffage along the frame but no dings to speak of. Not sure about component origins as we haven't done any upgrades. I am a relatively new biker and I am still learning, so if there are questions I can't answer I would be happy to loan it out for a test ride!
