I'm racing a few. Not sure whether I'm doing the Spring Super Crit but I'll be doing the Hillsboro-Roublaix, Monsters, Sherman Park and a few others.

Beautiful bike (watch out for those tire marks on the wall!)
Almost every shop has a club and/or training ride, there's bound to be one near you. Sometimes just getting out on the 'usual' routes you can meet up with others.

Humboldt Park near North and Kedzie. Im going to check out XXX racing (http://www.xxxracing.org/). They seam to be put together well. I love the cold and snow but cant wait till the weather breaks. Probably should try cyclecross as well.

find a local group that rides near you. Getting used to riding in a pack will really help when it comes to racing. If your loking to get in touch with XXX racing, contact Mike Seguin at mike@xxxracing.org and check out their website http://www.xxxracing.org.
