In June we signed the contract to build a new velodrome. It is currently being manufactured in Detroit and will arrive on 5 semi-trucks around June 8th. It will take 8 days to assemble and be ready for use at the end of July/Early August ...
Chicago hasn't done a thing for velodromes in decades.  It's time to change that.
Chicago's Velodrome (has a nice ring to it..)
Thank you for all the support of the chainlink.  For those that wish to support us as we get this thing built we have a race bag that every cyclist will be jealous of, all net proceeds support Chicago Velo Campus.  You can buy the bag here;
We can deliver it just in time for Father's Day or it can be picked up at 8 South Michigan Avenue # 1601 (or just mailed)
Thank You,
Your Friends from Chicago Velo Campus

I'm a web developer, and have a tip for the site.

No where on it can I find the location of the velodrome. It should either be on the front page, under contact info, or on the about page. The closet thing I can find is that the location would be announced in February 2011, which has passed.

Adam - I agree with your suggestion and hopefully that change can occur.

FWIW, I think the address details are on this page which talks about location

I believe the temporary facility will be built on the former site of the U.S. Steel Plant between 76th and 92nd and the permanent one between E 86th St & S Green Bay Ave.

Can you confirm Michael Q?

Also one other quick question - can we purchase all the various things you have on sale at the

8 South Michigan Avenue # 1601 address?  I was looking at the socks and knee warmers.

What are the hours we can come in to purchase, if so?

The Temporary site will be at 8615 South Burley Avenue.  The 2014 Velodrome is expected to be located at 81st and Lake Shore Drive (the new extension).

Any items from the store can be picked up Monday - Friday 8-4

TENTATIVE dates July 8th-July 16th

Located at 86th and Green Bay (http://maps.google.com/maps/place?ftid=0x880e28018769418b%3A0xa904e...)

Ok, thanks for the info, Michael, hope to stop by soon.
