The 2011 Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival is in the books! The festival is a series of mountain bike races, the main event being a 40 mile point-to-point race. Thousands send in their race applications in early March to be entered into a lottery drawing for the chance to compete in September. At 10AM, Saturday, September 17, the cannon let out a boom and the race was on. Many had their eyes on tour de France rider, Christian Vande Velde to win, but it was not to be.
