Chainlink Jersey Design Question

I guess my design lost cause Ross' design is now on the Crank the Eart website. http://www.cranktheearth.com/shop/ross/chicago-pride

Anyone have any idea how the jerseys where determined? Was it more than just the number of votes and their crank rating? Was there some sort of an editorial review process?
