Car sharing-- new legislation

In California . . .

I have no need for a "car" but would really like to have easy access to a small truck or van periodically (contact me if you would too!)-- one barrier would be, if I understand insurance and local laws adequately, is that one person would have to shoulder all the liability if anything happens . . .

Doesn't zipcar have trucks/SUVs? Depending on how often you use it, it might be feasible

Yes Zip has pick up trucks. They are great.
