Biking in Buenos Aires

Moving to Buenos Aires March 2nd and wondering if anyone on here has any expierience biking that city? In perticular what the bike culture is like, good bike shops to hit up and where to find a good used road frame. I have many reasons that im moving to South America (travel being number one) so I wont get into that but im bascially going on my own with only a few contacts out there and after living through this winter I have been fiending to get back on a bike in warm weather again. From what I've heard the city is not the safest or friendliest when it comes to biking and the cabs and busses run wild. Really any info would help at this point. I have plans to travel to Chile, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia as well but not until after I've lived in BA for a few months. Also looking for a shared house to live in but I'll probably figuire that out when I get there. Thanks Chanilink community and much love for the help.
