Brown: Catholic funding loss hits bike repair program for poor kids

Not to get into any big political discussion, but as a supporter of marriage equality, a supporter of immigrant rights, a lover of wonderful community groups like the Albany Park Neighborhood Council, a lapsed Catholic, a cyclist, and most of all as someone who thinks kids in every neighborhood everywhere should get to do cool stuff, this is very sad.

Not sure if they will be organizing fundraisers, but you can donate to the Albany Park Neighborhood Council at http://www.apncorganizing.org. May not be a way to specify where your $$ go, but it's a pain for non-profits to deal with that anyway, and there's a lot of other good work happening too. And for this to happen right after the grand opening...
