Aye Mates!

Im 19, and a freshman at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. I got an assignment focused on UR Chicago magazine that going to try to get sold. I have been riding bikes my whole life, and switched to fixed three years ago. For the article, I decided to focus on the transcendence of bikes, especially fixed gears, from a mere form of transportation to a form of personal, artistic expression. I already have a few interviews with old-time messengers that were part of the original resurgence of fixed gears, but think its essential that i get some comments from real riders on the streets. Unfortunately, my deadline is really soon, so I have to do my interviewing this weekend. Medill doesnt allow any online interviews, but if anyone is willing to text or call me my number is 951-204-1532. I will be riding around the city for pretty much all of the next few days, on a bright yellow Schwinn Madison. Holla if you see me, I'd love to talk to you.

Much appreciated,
Ryan.

You want to do an interview with a crazy guy who rides a tall bike and carries ladder around (not beer), it may prove just as interesting and I don't mind a little attention either. Marty
