Yay!  Swag!

I didn't know about this either, but I'll stop by later today, though :)

You can still pick up shirts at our office, Melanie! Thanks for signing up!

I'll have to eyeball another stop for the way home even if it means going 4 miles out of my way.  The stop this morning was fun and the folks were great.  They had coffee and treats -but little swag other than water bottles.  I still have 2344 water bottles from the past years and maybe I don't need to hoard any more -so I passed on that.

Would love some more stickers and stuff like that for my tool box collection.

That is a major bummer! Chris, email me ethan @ activetrans.org and we'll arrange for you to get a goody bag this year, so sorry about your headset!

Schwag-less and bitching.

I started a team at work for the Bike Commuter Challenge.  Went around and cajoled, threatened and shamed others into joining.  Even got two first-timers to sign up.  The big week of the BCC finally arrives and where is the team leader?  I'm driving my car to work.  Why? Because my headset jammed up last Friday on my ride home.  LBS has to order a replacement.

Yeah. At least the guys at my LBS appreciated the irony.

We're working on it, James, maybe next year...it all depends on sponsorship and donations for us.

Thanks for rocking the stops,

Ethan, Active Trans

Thanks for the offer Ethan but no need.  My headset is due Tue or Wed so I should be in Schwagsville by midweek.

Question for ATA; if I join ATA at the Bike to Work Rally, do I get the sweet T-Shirt?  I don't see a pit stop that will be convenient to my commute the rest of the week.

It's too bad that the grand finale Rally doesn't start a little bit earlier.  Those of us embarking on Le Tour de Shore will be missing out on it Friday morning unless we leave a little later :(

If we have them available, Scott, they're going like hotcakes this week! We do have some cool back up shirts, if we are running low.

Hope you get one,

Ethan, Active Trans

Ethan, my company signed up late, and I just emailed the commuter address, but thought I'd ask here.  I can probably get to either the north end LFP pit stop today or the one at Fullerton tomorrow AM.  Is there a chance they'll still have leader packets at those?  And if not, can I still possibly get a leader packet at your office on Friday?  I'm heading down to the rally, so I should be able to stop by after that if the stuff would be avail.

BTW, we're (Raw Thrills) chasing you guys.  Tomorrow we could crack 40% participation.  You'd better get those 19 riders going by Friday!

Also, some feedback: there seems to be confusion on the challenge site over what a "commute" is.  Even though you list round trip for mileage, I'm seeing lots of people on other teams logging each leg of a commute as a separate commute.  Perhaps there's some way next year you can make that clearer on how to log it on the site?

Actually, I noticed there was a slight glitch which may have already been corrected on the site regarding the roundtrip commute- it was showing my commutes twice, so I had to go in and delete one of them as it looked like I was doing double the mileage.  This didn't happen today, but it happened on Monday and Tuesday.

Madopal, we will have team leader packets at the rest of the pit stops and the Rally (also at our office).

Thanks to you and Melanie for passing on the reporting feedback. We had a wonderful volunteer who built the system for us this year and we're still making some tweaks. I'll pass this on.

Happy bike to work week!

Thanks,

Ethan, Active Trans
