Since riding bikes is on my mind 75% of the time during the day, it's not surprising that it creeps in while I'm sleeping.
But last night's went a step further and took over my thoughts on running The Chainlink. Oh gosh.
I drempt that I woke up with 12 new members to approve and all of them were already Chainlink members. They couldn't log in so they reapplied. I guess it could be called a Tech Nightmare.
What are your crazy bike dreams/nightmares and other unconscious thoughts?

I used to have similar dreams in high school years where I would leave home after a long frustrating period of packing books, gym clothes, etc. only to wait for a bus that never arrives or to get to school and realise I am still wearing pyjamas..

I have had a recurring dream; I am trying to leave a big house and when I get to my bike - usually in the basement - it is missing parts or disassembled and I have to go find the parts or their replacements.
Do fantasies count? We trike owners have very unique ... opportunities.
Ugh, you mean like playing the guitar or juggling while riding :p

First a bit of background info.
Last week I saw this photo of a metal fender folded like accordion:

A few days ago I left my bike at my favourite bike shop to get metal fenders installed.
Last night I had a dream where my bike had its newly installed fenders, they looked nice however they were as thin and fragile as aluminium foil. I left a ding wherever I touched :(
I guess I'm still a newbie! :) I have yet to have dreams about bikes.
I wonder if this is going to be a nightly thing now. Last night I drempt I was riding with Barry Wicks in a department store. We had bags of salt we were carrying too. We got stopped by security as we were turning a corner and they let us continue biking but only without shoes.
Haha, cleats damage store floors, don`t they :))

I was involved in a high speed crash in a crit A LONG time ago where 2 of us hit the back of a stalled amc pacer (brand new model back then) coming out of a corner, we both went through the back window.
Anyway I often wake up with the last few miliseconds of that crash playing through my mind as I physically squeeze both brake levers as hard as I can.
Ditto. In real time, I go back and recheck all is well-- even on my city beaters...

I've dreamed that I kept forgetting to lock my bike, and then someone would take it (of course), and I would see them taking it, but in the dream I am in slow motion, and the thief is pedaling so quickly that I lose them.
I also once had a dream that I saw a bike at the train station, unlocked, and for some reason I had to get it to it's rightful owner because it was a really expensive bike, and I was afraid that someone Would steal it. I ended up riding it everywhere in the city looking for the owner, and when I finally found them, they told me I could keep it for trying to get it back to them. The reason I remembered this dream is that it was very vivid and detailed and the bike was very distinctive. I even remembered the name from the dream, it was labeled "Lightspeed" and it was a men's road bike, super shiny and silver. I went to look it up on Google, and I actually found the exact same looking bicycle with the decals and everything-except the bike's real brand is spelled "Litespeed" and in my dream, it was spelled Lightspeed. Please keep in mind, I had not even heard of this bike before, nor had I considered getting a road bike at the time, so this was super freaky for me.
Last night I drempt I was on a touring trip. I had so much stuff I was holding a plastic bag with one hand.
I think there is an un-written rule here in Chicago that if you are holding a plastic bag (or bags) while riding a bicycle then you must be on the sidewalk. At least that's what it seems like whenever I see folks doing this around here. Or maybe that rule only applies when riding a beat up 10+ year-old step-through MTB from WalMart that is making crunch-squeak, crunch squeak noises with every turn of the crank.
