Bike & Dine, Lockport! is short, easy riding between ridiculous servings of award-winning courses, this Saturday in Lockport, IL.

How short? 7.5 miles, total, with a restaurant every 2 miles or so.

Make it longer: Start in Willow Springs at 2Bici bike shop, 104th and Archer, about 10 AM. Take the Centennial Trail & I&M Canal Trail to Lockport.

Make it awesome: Take Metra to Joliet Friday afternoon. Attend the Joliet Historical Museum's rooftop beer tasting. Drinks at The Department afterward. Stealth camp by the old prison. Bike & Dine in Lockport on Saturday. Then back to Joliet for a cushy Rock Island Metra ride back to the other city.

But registration really does close 5 PM today.
