There's a place on Clark between Diversey and Halstead called- I think!- New York Deli, and they have in a sign in their window seeking delivery bikers and who better for the job than winter biking chainlinkers (some with trailers, no less! or maybe the deli has their own...).

So check that out, yo.

That brings up some interesting questions. For commuting or errands or whatever I hate wearing a backpack. The center of gravity issue is bad enough, but what I really hate is how hot I get wearing anything on my back. But for delivery, especially food delivery I could see how some kind of box permanently attached to a bike would present a whole different set of problems.
When speed is an issue a bag on the body is much better then bike.

But if your riding the right bike then it's a whole differnt story. (IE)
biggdummie or a sun tricycle best bikes for food delivery.
