News this AM that Chicago is to consider allowing cyclists 65 and older to ride on sidewalks, as kids 12 and under are allowed to do. A City department on safety and trans to review before it goes to City Council. I don't think it will make it past the review.

I agree with Tom, but it should be interesting to see what happens on what I call the Silver Coast, that stretch of Sheridan that is/was aggressively patrolled to fine and/or impound the bikes of those riding on a WIDE sidewalk to get to and from the LFP at Ardmore. Many years ago I had an elderly woman swing her grocery bag to hit me as I rolled slowly past her. That scared me off ;)
