Let's say right next to heavily used transit stations around the city, there were independently owned bicycle parking stations where one could leave there bike, get it repaired, grab some coffee, yada yada yada - jump on the train/bus and then pick it up at a later point....Think of it as an independently owned, scaled down, neighborhood oriented version of the bicycle garage at millennium...
Do you think this idea could fly, especially given the current accessibility bikes are given on Chicago trains/buses? Would you be willing to use it? Do you think others would?
How much would you be willing to pay to store your bike for say, half a day? a whole day?
Remember: independently owned, not CTA operated...this means it would be fun; think coffee, music, friendly, neighborhood meeting area: And most importantly clean and safe
