I once pulled a buddy who had broken his chain using a couple of spare tubes for about 2 miles. They were tied from my seat post to his head tube. Not fun. Of course he broke the chain as opposed to flatting, because we had tubes, but no chain tool. So I guess I invented this around 92'.

This is apparently a REAL product and not a joke. 

 

A $300 real product.  OMG!

 

I've pulled and been pulled both on bikes and motorcycles.  It isn't fun -bungie or no.  Better than pushing -but only marginally so.

 

I'd hate to be on either bike should that bungie break and snap back in your face or ass.

$300 for a retractable bungie cord seems pretty expensive.

Not any more so than $250 for a carbon fiber rear rack that has a weight limit of 12 pounds.  It was actually sold before someone came to their senses and realized that it made no sense whatsoever at that price.
