I am looking to replace our current cheapo floor pump.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good quality floor pump?

Thanks

I've got a topeak joe blow, but i'm sure there are many out there that are adequate. What you're looking for is something with a steel/aluminum barrel. If you're feeling super ritzy, check out the Lezyne models.

I've had pretty good luck with the Park pump. One lasted me about 4 years and the head jammed up. Replaced it with a complete pump, another Park off of ebay for about $30 shipped.

I have been using this pump for close to 3 yrs now, it has a head that works on any valve type without any adjustment, has a 3 stage switch on the top to aid in inflating MTB and CX tires quick, road tires to 120 psi and track tires up to 260 psi without getting a pre ride workout in.

Another recommendation for the Topeak Joe Blow pumps.  I've had several floor pumps, and this one (the Joe Blow Pro) has taken the most abuse and lasted the longest.

I really like this pump.  (It also has a stated top pressure of 160 psi.  I've never come close to using that.)

Joe blow.

Also have a Topeak Joe Blow and have been very happy with it.

I have a vintage Silca pump with a wooden handle that is amazing.

They still sell the same model its called a super pista. Its a bit pricy but.........

I love that you can buy replacement parts meaning i never have to buy another floor pump again

A friend has a Park PFP-5 which is really nice and has a HUGE easy to read gauge but the O-ring in the head keeps blowing out on it and Park has stopped sending free replacements.   Pump is good, the head sucks, so I can't recommend it unless you plan on putting a different head on the end of the hose.  I hear that many of the Park pumps have this issue from reading the Amazon reviews.  It seems like a defect they are unwilling to address so I would stay away from Park pumps in the lower "home" price range.

+1 for the Silca floor pump. I've had mine since the early eighties. Being a collector of Coleman Lanterns and stoves, I can make my own replacement leather cups. I keep one this at work.

I also have a Schwinn branded floor pump I got from Target (or do you say 'tar-zhay) that has held up surprisingly well for the last five years

Holy cow. I didn't know that Topeak joe blow pumps were that popular. I guess I made a good choice :)

My wife had a Wrench Force floor pump when I met her and despite my efforts to destroy it and using it nearly daily for years it has stood up fairly well.    The little clip that holds the head to the pump when it is stowed has been broke since the day I first used it so one has to sort of wrap the hose around the pump and tuck the head under to protect it when it is put away, and it is probably due for a rebuild as it takes more pumps than I would like to invest into each tire-inflation lately but the pump isn't too terrible to use in the shop.  The head has held up very well and is easy to insert and remove from either a Schrader or Presta valve.

I had never heard of Wrench Force before this but they seem to make pretty nice pumps.   I recently bought a Wrench Force frame pump for my road bike at the Winter swap.  I've only used it once and it worked well.  Anyone else using a Wrench Force?
