I received this letter from a guy named Nathaniel he would like to organize a ride, I think this is a great idea but I'm commited this weekend so if you are interested in this please contact him directly at nmkoschmann@gmail.com. Or discuss it at the Chainlink event page, http://www.thechainlink.org/events/backyard-film-and-music.

Hello Chicago Critical Mass and The Chainlink,

My brother and I have put together a film and music festival that will take place in the historic Pullman factory on the south side.  We're trying to bring people and attention to a part of the city that is often neglected and overlooked (despite its historic significance) -- we've designed the event to be big enough and interesting enough that it could draw people from all over Chicago, and beyond.  There will be ten excellent bands and about 20 original short films, and we're serving food and beer.  Do you think any CCM folks would be interested in an informal ride down to the festival?  It's pretty far south (111th St.), so if people start on the north side or even the south loop, it would be a pretty long ride.  This event is called Backyard Film and Music Festival -- it took place literally in my brother's backyard the last two summers, but this year we decided to make it bigger -- and we've been making it up as we go along.  The festival starts at noon this Saturday (July 24, 2010), and it will go past midnight.

Is anybody interested?  We love you guys and like to consider ourselves your kindred spirits.

Thanks much, Nate Koschmann, nmkoschmann@gmail.com
