Large Apartment with high ceilings. 1/2 Block from beautiful Humboldt Park.

Very convenient to Public Transportation (North Ave Bus : 1 block; Calif Ave Bus 2 blocks (blue and green CTA lines)), less than 15 minute walk to Blue Line (Calif/Fullerton), easy access to both I 90/94 (Kennedy) and I-290 (Eisenhower) Expressways.

Plenty of street parking in front. Also - there is a great Cermak grocery a very short walk, as well as a Walgreen's 3 blocks away. Aldi is close too (Milewukee and Leavitt)

The bedroom is small (approx 8' X 9'), but it has a decent size closet (lighted), and you have full access to a very large pantry in the kitchen (adjacent to the bedroom for rent).

Also - lots of storage is available on the back porch and basement. There may be a loft bed in the room to purchase for a fee - I will find out if you are interested.

The dining room is very large and is also available for you to use as a work / project / art / craft area. I currently have a large folding table there and a few bicycles (I made a wall mounted bike rack that holds 6-8 bikes)

The rest of the apartment is pretty typical : living room (has free basic cable and I have 2 or 3 stereos. I play music a lot (when I am home) and play guitar; but never when someone wants it quiet.
Note : I am gone 3-4 nights a week; the other roommate has 2 part time jobs so if you are home a lot - you will most likely have the place to yourself and lots of privacy. Everything is shared (yard, porch, patio) except the obvious (food and personal items). We are really relaxed about chores and common items (paper towels, salt and pepper and kitchen comdiments, etc.)

The kitchen is not large or fancy - but it is clean and functional. I have pots / pans / toaster / microwave and a coffee maker. No dishwasher though ;-(

I am renting month-to-month : so you would not be signing a lease.

I would require one month rent and one month security deposit to move in.

roommate / landlord and/or credit references may also be required.

About me : I work downtown M-F 8am - 5pm; I keep very busy with bicycling and volunteering activities.

Also - I currently am fostering a chocolate lab (she is VERY easy going), and am open to other dogs as long as they are compatible.

about you : laid back, not a total neat freak, but not a slob either. when I clean the kitchen and wash dishes - it looks great. I may only do it once a week; but it gets done. Same with the bathroom.
