The Chainlink

Just curious if anyone is planning on biking to the US Social Forum? I know there are bike caravans going and I'm looking to join one. I believe Spoke N Heart collective is organizing some things but i was unable to attend their info session. If anyone has any more info on how to join a caravan that would be great!

I will most likely be attending but I hadn't considered biking since it might be the start of a longer trip involving planes. But I'm going to friend you right now and we can keep in touch about it, yes?
sounds great! thanks!
I joined chainlink just to respond to this.

I am planning on riding out, probably with at least one other person. Don't want to leave early w/ the Spoke n' Heart crew (who I think are planning to go out on the 11th), probably will leave the 15th/16th and get to Detroit on the 22nd (or 21st, or 23rd. Depends on whether it seems like a good idea to spend a whole afternoon at the bookstore in Three Oaks, and if there's a good double feature at the Coldwater drive in [on a side note, has anyone biked to a drive-in theater?]).

So, long story short, I'm also curious if anyone is planning to ride out to Detroit, but not riding with the Spoke n' Heart ride.

Also, does anyone have any experience taking a bike on Amtrak to New Buffalo or Niles? I know you can't take them on board on the wolverine, but am getting mixed messages on whether or not you can get them out of the baggage car at either station.
Not to sound stupid, for Iv been tied up a while in a basement in the middle of no where under a massive rock... but I just heard about the USSF. It sounds like something amazing. While looking though I had a hard time finding if this is just for any one and everyone or just groups and organizations. If for one and all I think Id be interested in biking there if there are any caravans headed that way from around here.
