The Chainlink

I know some of you are curious about racing or want to give it a go. So here is your chance to do it in a semi controlled environment with no cost involved.

First and foremost this wouldn't be an Alleycat, I know a number of different places where we can make this happen which is free of cars, traffic and stop lights.

Second, we would have only 2-4 people on a short distance(3-5 miles) race and so our fixie connoisseurs can join in on the fun as well as minimizing the chance of accidents. I am thinking "sprint" races(think drag racing). Depending on the number of people coming out we can determine a proper method of elimination. I would be willing to donate first, second and third place prizes(meaning beers) for the first race. Let me know if anyone is interested...

Fun! Keep us posted...
If you're looking for spots, calumet park (where the kevin's crits series were held) has a nice place for racing. During the mornings it's pretty car free and empty. It's relatively close to the city as well.
