I heard that interview this morning, "I'm not biking right now, but I'm taking transit".

Why stop riding just because your job title changes? It's just as easy to bike to city hall as it was 9 w. Hubbard.

My first and only exposure to Aldolfo Hernandez was hearing him give the exact same speech that I heard Randy Neufeld deliver earlier that year. Word for word. It was "8 to 80" talk and slideshow. Perhaps that is how advocacy organizations work, just regurgitating the same stuff over and over, but it gave me a really bad first impression.

Tony, did you get a chance to talk to Aldolfo personally after his talk?

Regarding regurgitating, if Randy's speech worked, why reinvent the wheel esp. when considering the audience? Randy is known around the world as a transportation expert. If his ideas are good and they both represent the same organization, why not?

Regarding biking vs. public transit, I didn't hear most of the interview, just caught the end and recognized his voice.   If Aldolfo sold all his bikes now that he works for the city and says he will never bike again, I'd be surprised.
