lol, I am a white guy, but I know more about computers, problem solving and damage control more than anyone else I know. ok, I cost a little more but I also solve problems faster, think about the unknowns and can tackle just about anything. Use me as an 'independent' to get everything working right and then teach your people how to deal with everyday situations. It often is the better and more practical solution. I am not busy until April/warm weather season, so use me while I have time. Also can refer a qualified candidate, a much better way to find the right person vs. random acts of blindness. 773-343-4500 - Marty Tountas

I doubt they will want to use me for anything, I always fix the problems and make practical sense in my work ethic. I don't think that is normal way of dealing with things anymore. Anyway it is racist to hire me anyway. lol

The suspense is killing me-- did you get the job, Marty?
Marty,
Did you get asked about the tattoo (yet)?
No, I may have the skills to fix anything I screw up. It was really just working fine before I got there .... What is Technology Manager anyway ? Is it the same thing as Computer Guy ?
As a nonprofit, our staff usually have to be a "jack or jill of all trades" for their positions.

The Technology Manager here develops/manages our websites (functionality and design), manages email marketing campaigns, manages our database/CRM and handles all our office IT (server, computers, printers, etc.).

Please spread the word to anyone you know that may be interested or fit the position. Full details here:

Yes, that is true. Obviously we wish our budget and opportunities were different but this is our current situation. The "economy" really hurt us (and everyone) last year and this year.

Personally, I know I could make 2/2.5x what I do now but I love the organization and the work.

Hopefully we can find someone who fits and is comfortable with the salary.

I've been surprised by the last couple of people that I've hired...over-experienced and willing to work for less because they believe in the cause.

Only 35K a year...that is REALLY LOW for all that is asked - I too work for a non-for-profit and know few people who would do all that work for that little of pay…truly sad.

You really need to double that pay to get anyone who is good, obvious if they are unemployed now that probably means they weren’t that good to begin with…the economy just shows the people with talent have jobs and the ones that don’t come cheap…that is why so many people have been let go this last year - just don't have the skills and you won’t get skilled people for that low of a price…Chicago is truly going down hill fast.
