1988 Panasonic DX-3000 53cm Asking $500 OBO
A couple of years ago I bought this amazing bike for my wife since she needed a road bike. Unfortunately she decided it is a bit too big for her and wants a step through frame instead.
I can not express how amazing the condition of this bike is. Practically off the showroom floor with the exception of a small scratch in the model logo on the top tube. The only thing on this bike that is not original is the rear tire, pedals, bar tape, cables and housing. I changed the bar tape and cables when I overhauled the bike but I kept the original color scheme. I also ended up installing a sealed bottom bracket but I have the original adjustable bottom bracket if you wanted to throw it back on. Full 105 group set in amazing condition. I also have the original reflectors and their brackets if you wanted them.
Since this bike is just sitting unused I almost decided to pull the 105 set off and put it on a road frame my size but I just don't have the heart to mess with the original completeness of this bike. If you have any questions and/or are interested in the bike just shoot me a message.
(P.S. the pedals in the photo are not the pedals that come with the bike. It will come with a standard set of plastic platform pedals)

I have seen this bike and it really is a brand new bike for all intents and purposes.
How tall is your wife? I am 5'8.5" tall. I have a habit of buying bikes that are too small for me, but 53 cm might be just about right.
My wife is 5'6.5" and she said it was just a little bit too big for her. She also was afraid of the straight top tube since her other bike is a Schwinn Breeze so she is used to a step through frame, so I'm on the look out for a mixte for her instead.
Heya Ryan,
I've got a LeTour mixte (made by Panasonic), would you like to talk trade?

Heya Alex, thanks for the offer. If we didn't need the money right now I would probably seriously consider it. My wife was recently laid off by one of the families she nannies for and it has hit us pretty hard so I'm trying to sell anything I can that isn't nailed down to keep us a float for the rest of the year at least. This was totally unexpected and could not have come at a worse time since I just bought a new road bike less than a month ago which was simply bad timing. I've actually been looking for a part time shop job but again, bad timing since "winter is coming" and no one seems to need the extra help. If only you guys didn't have cats which are basically kryptonite to me.
Not that I intended to air my business on the interwebs but shit just got serious, so yeah.
Sorry to hear it. Best of luck in your endeavors to keep your head above water.
