55cm Eddy Merckx MX Leader frame for sale

Here is an Eddy Merckx MX Leader frame for sale. The frame has a 55 cm seat tube and a 55 cm top tube measured center-to-center. It is a later model from around 1996 and it includes a campagnolo (campy) chorus headset. The bottom bracket is italian threaded, no bottom bracket included. The frame has been used but it is straight and ready to be built again.

The MX leader is considered to be one of the best steel racing bikes of all times built with special Columbus MX tubing. Merckx bikes were treated with a special zinc treatment so there is no corrosion anywhere on the frame.

Build it up with your own Shimano, Sram or Campy group and you'll have a great classic bike. The rear spacing is 130mm so it will take modern components.

Hi Louie L....looking at your mxl with interest, please comment on seat tube measure c-t, wondering if 56cm or greater, and likewise please mention head tube length measure.
