I found out about this on Twitter, and I got to wondering if any Chainlinkers were participating in 30 Days of Biking?

From their website:

The only rule for 30 Days of Biking is that you bike every day for 30 days—around the block, 20 miles to work, whatever suits you—then share your adventures online. We believe biking enriches life, builds community, and preserves the Earth. This is the second year, and third round, of 30 Days of Biking

You can register here, it's free:

http://30daysofbiking.com/bike/register/

I registered as team thechainlink.org maybe other Chainlinkers could as well?

I know most of us already do bike a lot, but I know that I generally don't bike every day, so for me, this will be motivation to keep track of it.

Anyone else participating?

I signed up as an individual just to get motivation to bike every day.  I'll look and see if I can join the Chainlink team.  It would be one more reason to actually stick to it!

I registered too.

I wrote Chainlink as the team name.   I may finally have to learn how to tweet....

Jami, how did you get the hyperlink there?

yeah! I don't know how much of a function the Team thing has but I figured I'd do it as that.

No idea how the hyperlink showed up. I just typed in thechainlink.org and it automatically hyperlinked.

I'm in - thanks for posting!
I'm in. I'm @lpangelrob, but I'll be posting about my rides (commutes or otherwise) under #30daysofbiking daily.

I almost already do it, but I'm wont to take a day off or skip rainy days, so I signed up to keep myself committed.

I do rely on my car driving friends if we're going out at night to the same place. I suspect they get tired of hauling my ass around, though they always claim that they're really glad to pick me up. They try to be really encouraging about biking even though they, themselves, are fair-weathered about it and probably won't get on their bikes until it's in the upper 50s. (Looking forward to our Black Dog gelato rides.)

I'm in! Don't know about the team thing, though. I'll have to see if I can edit my registration...

I just started a new job with HQ in Minneapolis. When I got up there this week for a two day visit, I saw an amazing indoor bike room for everyone to keep their bikes during the day and a lot of 30 days of biking signs.

Turns out that now I work with one of the co-founders! yay!

Has anyone posted yet? I don't twitter or facebook a lot.  Any ideas if I can send it by email? I read you can snail mail it.
For those of you participating, how's it going so far? Are you tweeting? I have just been sending myself an email.
I've biked every day so far and tweeted most days. I'm @balloonbiker   Not sure what to say about today's rather chilly and wet ride.
