up for sale is this awesome schwinn bike that's been mod'd out and fancified. i'm moving home to the east coast and sadly don't have room to take it or store it- my loss is your gain. here's the deal:
-this bike is HEAVY aluminum. you know why that's awesome in chicago? WIND AND RAIN. i have ridden this thing in conditions that were frankly stupid of me to assume would be ok, and i've arrived safely and unshaken.
-got you them fancy disc brakes. it stops on a dime. with the wheels and tires it has on it, incredible grip in wet conditions (even light ice spots if you're that hardcore).
-fenders on front and back- not only can you get a grip in wet conditions, you'll arrive at your destination with your ass dry. can't beat it.
-shifters in the right handlebars. let's be clear, this is an errand/leisurely ride bike, not a speedy road bike/training bike, but you do have the option of a few gears to use while you're riding.
-the chain is rusted because the bike room in my building is damp af. that happened in about a week. you can take it to any shop and get a new one for $15. we can even knock $15 off the final price if you want so you can get that done.
-size wise, this bike would be best for someone between 5'2"-5'6", depending on how you prefer to sit/adjust your handlebars. i'm 5'8" and i find the bend at my knees/waist a bit uncomfortable (especially compared to my road bike) but as i say, it has more of a touring/commuting stance to it when you ride it, so if you're over 5'6" you may like it. different strokes (literally), amirite?
this has to go by 10/2. my week is pretty open and you're welcome to come and take it for a test ride, we can haggle, you give me cash or venmo, we hifive, you ride home.
