Chicago hosts the NACCC (sanctioned bike messenger race) in Garfield Park on Labor Day weekend, August 29 - September 1, 2008. CBF will have a "checkpoint" on the race route that we hope to deck out like an office -- receptionist desk, computer, water cooler ........ all the accoutrements of the reception area of an office. At the checkpoint racers will deliver and pick-up packages, just like they do in real life.

To make our checkpoint rock, we seek volunteers to play the role of office workers and others encountered in the reception area. Some possibilities include gum-snapping receptionist, tyrannical boss, impatient client, slick sales rep......... maybe we should rent Office Space or The Office for more ideas. Our checkpoint needs actors on Saturday sifts between 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday shifts between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.

Not feeling quite up to acting this weekend? Come chat about bicycle advocacy at the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation table. We will also need help creating our "set." If you want to volunteer either as an actor, help us create our "office," or have a spare water cooler to lend us, please contact Jody Orlovick, (312) 427-3325, x297 or jody@biketraffic.org.
Please RSVP by Wednesday, August 27th
