We have a few threads here and there with introductions, but nothing organized. For this thread, post your picture, pics of your bikes, and a small blurb about yourself (favorite foods, commuting routes, etc).

Hi, my name is Michael and I am a bikeaholic... .......
Hey Chainlink, I'm Fox, or Fern, or Josh... or Josh Fox

Roots: From Oregon, Ashland to Portland to Chicago with my 10 year old rescue Bela. Engineer, working wind farm installations last few years.... on sabbatical this summer, living in Wicker Park, working side landscape jobs, trimming trees, building planters, gardening mayhem

Interests: bicycles. slackline. eating & sharing homemade anything...

Love what i do for a living -sole graphic artist for 7 downtown hotels, but my work is just one long creative, socializing, coffee & eating break from riding every day. Last book was E Squared. Psyched for the new Trailer Park Boys movie. Saw three of my alltime fave bands in the last month and half: the Church, Echo & The Bunnymen, and Trashcan Sinatras. June 9th was an awesome day: Blackhawks win the Stanley cup, then I find the Cure's Disintegration remastered box set in my mailbox. Both bring me back to my youth.. Which these days is being blurred. Friends joke I live like a 15 year old -biking, drawing, pizza several times a week, concerts.. is there another way? Chicago is my personal playground and I love everything from her architecture, her people, her food, her neighborhoods..

I'm part of the human race again after spending most my 20s and 30s living a strangers life. My life is mine again, and it's nice to have y'all in it. Most online communities (other interests) I'm part of don't have the sense of *community* I've found to be unique here. I feel the love. Yes -I am a giant dork.

Oh where to begin. Most people are recognizing me because of my bullhorn, but I am so much more . . .
I love bikes, my dogs, Powers Whiskey, blah blah blah

Me and Dawgs in the 11201

And six bikes in the house. Two road, one track, two cruisers, one custom Santa Cruz but missing one cow bike . . .

Hello! I'm Megan.

This is my Raleigh:

And this is how excited I feel when I'm riding:

I usually commute from Ravenswood to Evanston, so you might see me along Clark street, Ravenswood, or the North Channel Trail. I'm training for RAGBRAI right now, so you might see me on the Lakefront path or on the way to the Botanical gardens too. I love RAGBRAI, say "hi" if we see each other in Iowa!
In my non-biking time, I'm a grad student in Cognitive Psychology and a photo enthusiast (flickr: msauter). I also do a bit of urban exploring.

hello hello! i'm kat!
(i looked like this when this photograph was taken)

i ride a sweet blue and white trek
(here he is!)

i moved from southern california last august to attend columbia college chicago, where i am getting my MFA in poetry.
i am a poet and i know it.
i ride from uptown to downtown (ha ha!) and back again every day commuting to work, and i enjoy doing this very much.

hooray!
Hi Kat! I'm moving to Uptown in a month, I'm glad to hear their will be other people taking the long arduous journey to the South Loop for school. How much do you hate the winter here, coming from SoCal?
