Winter trail and road conditions 2021

Where’s the scary ice?

It’d be good to have a place to report these things, especially after snow and freezing rain. Lake Front Trail, Major Taylor, North Branch, downtown bike lanes—you got info, put it here!

NBT was lousy last week and probably still is. Had to stop commuting since my trails were coated with ice in crunchy sharp hills and valleys

DPRT is totally snowed over, no surprise. I rode Bloomingdale to Belmont today but the rest of it has got to be in similar shape. Not too slick though. Traversable with a mountain bike with knobby tires (though still a bit sketchy).
