A good friend of mine just posted a time lapse video of Bike the Drive. Thought I would share!

Perfect. You should post a link to all your work.
That was really cool.
Very cool, thanks for sharing! Part of the event most of our staff never really get to see...it sure looks fun.

That sure is me ;) Here is a photo I took from 2008 Bike the Drive from the same vantage point as the time lapse. After taking this photo, I knew for certain that wanted to attend the event as a rider and not as a spectator for future years to come.

Opps, here is the picture.

Yes! The event always stuck me as like, the last thing on earth I'd want to do. I rarely enjoy riding with other people. But the wyfe and I rode the segment from 31st to the Museum of Science and Industry to work our volunteer shift at the bike repair pit and it was actually a metric ton of fun. I was amazed. We'll be doing it again as riders in the future for sure.

Thanks for posting this shot and the video! Great work!
nice! dig the tune as well
Your video of Bike The Drive 2010 is a lot cooler than mine :)

this is great. you don't realize how fun biking the drive is unitl you do it or see it in a video like this.
Steven,

I really enjoyed your video! It turned out really well even with lake shore drive being rather bumpy, and that video cameras are picky to any sort of vibration, especially with the rigidness of a road bike. Great job!

I kind of wish I could re-shoot it with my bike that has larger tires. Oh, well. There's next year!

Apparently there's software that can help reduce/remove "jiggles" and vibrations, but that takes forever to set up and then process.
