This bike spent the first 3.5 years of its life as a 9 mile a day commuter. This year my ride shortened to six blocks so I've been using a converted MTB. The Aurora will handle your commute with ease, and if you want to go out and tour for a week, a month or a year it'll take the load without complaint. I rode it this summer while training for a century and on the ride itself; it's a bit overbuilt for that usage which is why I'm selling it.

Here's the original spec sheet: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/51672834/09_aurora.pdf

I've made the following changes:

Saddle: Brooks B17

Crank: Shimano Deore 48/36/26 170mm

Cassette: Miche 12-27

Stem: Dimension, 7 degree, 90mm

Fenders: SKS Longboard

Rack: Delta Universal

Tires: Vittoria Randonneur Pro (kevlar bead, reflective sidewalls, they say 35mm but they measure 32mm mounted)

I have an extra of these tires which I'm including with the bike; the rear tire is starting to show some wear (though it hasn't ever flatted) and probably has about 2000-2500 miles on it. The extra tire is still folded in the box.

It's got Pinhead locking skewers instead of QR skewers. There's a "You'd look hotter in a helmet" sticker on the rack; sorry. There's a kickstand; it's useful. :P

I'm asking $500

I wish that would fit me.  I want it.

Sweet ride, great price... I'd jump on this in a heartbeat if I had the budget.

Another selling point: this bike will get you compliments!

Another selling point: it has a long stem so the handlebar height can be raised.

They're roughly at my saddle height now, which I enjoy for long rides. But yes, the cable hanger keeps the headset loaded so it's pretty quick to move spacers around, and a more upright ride might be nice for commuting.

Dan, my wife is interested, can we come look at it sometime soon? Tomorrow or Saturday?

I'm free tomorrow before noon, then I work until 9. Saturday I could do after six; I've got work during the day. I'm in Universiry Village.
Another fact I should mention in case it's not visible in the photos: the bike does not have the extra brake levers on the flats. They didn't rebound well and made braking mushy.

Where are you/the bike? Tomorrow before noon might work.

I'm near Morgan/15th St.

Dan, check you're messages please. Thanks.

The bike is still very much available. I don't want to annoy everybody too much so this will be the last bump before I switch to the dreaded Craigslist.
