I volunteer for Community Threads, a non-profit resale shop in Arlington Heights. We recently received a donation of a 1980 Pearl Blue Schwinn Traveler III, in excellent mostly original condition, and are selling it on eBay for local pick-up. This bike has been nicely cared for or stored for most of its 37 years. A little rust on some of the chrome plated parts, some miscellaneous scrapes and scratches, and a little dusty from storage. This bike is mostly original parts as listed in the 1980 Schwinn catalog, as noted below (known replacements noted).
Asking $110. All proceeds go to charity. For more information and more photos, check our eBay store. Go to our website at:
http://communitythreads.org/
Then click on the eBay button at the bottom of the page.
Or stop by the store: 250 West Rand Road in Arlington Heights - near the intersection of Rand Road and Arlington Heights Road. Open Monday - Saturday from 10AM until 7PM. (847) 818-1630.
Or email me at tszesny@gmail.com.
