What better place to spend Labor Day weekend with the family than Lake Geneva? Go for a sunset cruise, swim at one of the awesome beaches, take the kids and enjoy the shoreline of Library park, take the family to the Timber Ridge water park, hike the lake shore path and take in the historic mansions, drink craft beer from Geneva Lakes Brewery, try SUP (stand up paddle boarding) at Clearwater Outdoor, rent a boat or jet ski, try zip lining at Lake Geneva Canopy Tours, eat brats, corn and elephant ear pastries at the Walworth County Fair… oh and try to remember you are here for TREADFEST! Go to www.lakegenevawi.com for more ideas, hotels and planning information.
TREADFEST offers the “toughest” course on the WORS circuit and features the crowd pleasing Rock Garden, the infamous Colorado Heartbreaker, the Pines, the excitement of Butch’s Playground and fluid fast lines of The Big “O”. TREADFEST has activities for riders and families alike including: a consumer expo, TREADFEST Learn to Race Clinic, TREADFEST kids race, tasty food and drink on site, TREADFEST T-shirts, the Next Door Pub Saturday night pasta feed, and all the Labor Day fun in beautiful Lake Geneva!
In addition to TREADFEST, TREADHEAD Cycling (THC) strives to give riders exciting environment to explore the joys of riding a bike. THC aims to give the TREADHEAD spirit back to the roads and trails through avid bicycle advocacy involvement. We welcome all riders to join TREADHEAD Cycling for our mountain and road rides as well as many other TREADHEAD events throughout the year. Please check www.treadheadcycling.com for details and calendar. All are welcome!
It’s simple. The TREADFEST course was built by racers for racers. The course brings out the best of the Mountain Top topography as it shifts from tight, technical single track to wide open big ring double-track. The thigh burning climbs are rewarded with fast and fun descents. Hear the roar of the crowd as you finish in front of the spectator friendly Mountain Top Lodge. Enjoy!
