Bike to the site of the World's Columbian Expostion and hear about the great world's fair of 1893 through the exploits of famed architect Daniel Burnham and infamous serial killer Henry Holmes, both of whom are profiled in the bestselling "Devil in the White City." We start with a couple of Burnham & Root buildings downtown and bike along the lakefront path to the former fairgrounds, discussing these men and their work, architecture and the fair, at several stops along the way.
Led by Greg Borzo, author of "Where to Bike Chicago" and "The Chicago "L," this tour is limited to 15 riders. RSVP to get the downtown starting point. Helmets required. Contact Greg to get on the list and for the starting point.
