Description

Massive event promoting the end of oil and the beauty of people. Held globally with dozens of cities participating. Bare-as-you-dare with outfits ranging from body paint to fanciful costumes to beachwear. Chicago's seen over two thousand cyclists and skaters and more tour over a dozen miles of high visibility tourism and recreation areas. The ride's atmosphere is extremely joyful and transcendently fun. Bicycles are the best solution to reducing America's oil addiction and improving public health and we're spreading that message. Riders come to Mary Bartelme Park, 909 W Adams after 6pm (Saturday June 10th 2017).

Launching by sunset (~8:30pm).
Check-Ins must show People Powered wheels for directions to launch site.
Arrive clothed and keep them with you (not a friend) at all times.

FANS recommended viewings:
Mag Mile (Michigan, Wacker to Walton) ETA 9pm.
Boystown (Belmont, Sheffield to Broadway) ETA 10pm
The Crotch (Milwakuee/Damen/North) ETA 11:30pm

This is a drop ride. Your bike and self MUST be ready and able to ride some fourteen miles over four hours (returns near midnight) possibly without water or potties.
NO PHOTOS in our before/after spaces (xcpt auth'd). Assume however that you will be photographed on ride. If you must take pics during ride don't be a hazard and always ASK!
Experienced riders are helping in safety vests. Heed them, and tell them any nonsense you see.
YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE! Be prepared, stay alert, take care, help others.
LEAVE NO TRACE!!! PICK IT UP and PACK IT OUT!!! RECYCLE cans. No glass please. Bring refillables.

Would there be someone I can reach out to personally to secretly ask whether the ride heads north first, and approx. how far north it gets?
