Volunteers Wanted for Chicago Beerathon
 
Hello friends of Working Bikes!

Though the weather is cooling, October is forecast to be a busy month for Working Bikes--and full of fun opportunities for you to help out, inside and outside the shop. Hear all about events and more at the Working Bikes General Meeting tomorrow (Thursday, October 10) at 2434 S. Western Avenue. Potluck at 6:30pm, meeting begins at 7:30pm. For a full list of our upcoming bike drives and events, you can visit our events page here. Below, read about events on October 19th and 26th, two days when we could particularly use your help.
 
October 19th - Chicago Beerathon - The first annual Chicago Beerathon is Saturday, October 19, and Working Bikes will be the official charitable beneficiary. We are looking for 20 volunteers to help.  If you are interested, please email Marie at marie@workingbikes.org.

October 26th - Bike Drives
Do you live near one of these bike drives? Do you live far away, but you want to help anyway? If you are interested in volunteering at these events please email marie@workingbikes.org.
  • Skills for Simple Living Fair 9am to 3:30pm, Jefferson County, Wisconsin
  • Indian Prairie Public Library Bike Drive 9am to 12pm, Darien, Illinois
  • Addison Park District Fall Recycling Extravaganza 10am to 1pm, Addison, Illinois
  • DuPage Unitarian Universalist Bike Drive 9am to 12pm, Naperville, Illinois
  • Northbrook Rotary Club and Northbrook Junior High Bike Drive time TBD, Northbrook, Illinois
  • Make a Difference Day 9am to 12pm, Winnetka, Illinois
