Looking forward to it.  West Town Bikes and Ciclo Urbano will be there.

Lee,  do you need volunteers to help with anything?  Now that I know I can attend I would be happy to help with anything you need.

Todd,

Sadly, we do not have space for a bike corral.  I saw you rented a table and you have a total of 6 feet by 6 feet to put anything you want to sell, including bikes.  It will be a bit of a squeeze this year for sure, which will be a challenge, but it was the best arrangement we could make with the time we had.  Thanks for being part of the swap.

Will there be a bike corral?

Comment by Lee Diamond on January 4, 2014 at 4:58am

Yes Howard, it is definitely cool to have one person buy the table and share it with others.

T-shirt design will likely be a Ross Felten design.  Still working on other details for the swap at the moment so we will attend to that one shortly as well.  Thanks for joining and look forward to seeing you at the swap.

I joined the CBC. Did Ross make the T-shirt design too?

Hey Tony, we decided we couldn't do the swap and the new ride that we're planning for next summer. We'll look at bringing it back in 2015 but need to make sure the new ride is successful first. We're very glad that the swap ball got picked up and are excited to attend.

I'm posting several blogs soon about why we're not doing the swap and what swap options are available, our 2014 event schedule including the new ride announcement.

The campaign work like BRT, bikeways, etc. doesn't have overlap with our events work except that our events help fund those efforts and the campaigns have a presence at our events. We're certainly not doing the swap because of campaign work.

Thanks,

Ethan Spotts, Active Trans

Hey Tony.  Thanks very much and I am sure Ross (the poster artist) appreciates it too.  However, this IS the bike swap this year, and Active Trans WILL be there, however they couldn't run it this year.  We decided to try to pick up the ball and run with it so the swap could still happen.  Hopefully you'll make it out and we'll see you there.

Cheers - Lee

Poster is awesome. No bike swap this year? What is the story with that? ATA too busy pushing the BRT?
