Description

The Winter Bike Challenge is free and a perfect opportunity for newbies to give winter cycling a try but also a chance for the more seasoned winter rider to mix it up. During the challenge, which runs January 13-27, you can win cool prizes like a fat tire bike and free Dark Matter Coffee! You don’t even have to bike all the way to your destination – just biking once to your local bus or train stop during the challenge counts.

New to Winter Riding? Check out how easy it is for you to get going on two wheels, winter style by checking out a free REI class! Not quite ready to ride in the cold? Here are some pointers and of course you can always come chat with more seasoned riders at the Winter Bike to Work Day Rally who will happily answer questions, provide tips and share their sometimes humorous tales of winter riding. Winter Bike Challenge is produced by the Active Transportation Alliance.
