OK you winter hibernators, the Daylight Savings time event is behind us so Spring can’t be THAT far away. Let’s get out and reintroduce ourselves to our Bikes-Butts and Legs (again).
This is the SECOND in a series of BBL Training rides.
This time we will try Old Plank Trail if the conditions are ridable. I will check Friday and Saturday and blast an email through Yahoo Groups if we need to cancel Sunday’s ride due to conditions.
Again just a ‘training ride’ to make sure we still know HOW to ride and are still ABLE to knock down a few.
As with all MTC3 rides, it is highly recommended that you arrive early so that you are ready to depart at the ride time. Air, Brake, Chain checks promptly at 11:00AM
Date: Sunday, March 15
Departure Time: 11:00 SHARP
End Time: 1:30PM
Start Location: Old Plank Trail, Cicero trail head (meet in the Pep Boys parking lot)
Distance/Time Duration: About 12-20 miles depending on how we feel…
Average Seed: 10mph-check 12 mph-check, 14mph, check, not to exceed 16mph
Drop/No Drop: Absolutely no drop. A little teasing, but no drop
Route: OPT to Frankfort, maybe to Panera at Route 59 (but probably not Joliet!!!)
Ride Leader: eD Dixon/ edixon22@gmail.com/312-203-8664
Snack/warm-up stop, bathroom break, coffee stop, photo ops all included
Note: If you have been spinning all winter and are looking for 50 miles at 20+mph, this is NOT that ride!!!!!
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED ON ALL MAJOR TAYLOR CHICAGO RIDES!
