*** RIDE IS CANCELLED DUE TO EXTREME WIND AND RAIN. ***

An annual tradition, the annual New Year's Day ride is back again this year.

Start the new year off with a short-ish ride to a local eating establishment for a delightful brunch where the ride will officially end.

Depending on temperatures and weather, the ride may be shortened or if we have a mild day, it will be lengthened.

Bring cash for brunch and a lock for your bike. Wear layers to keep yourself warm and toasty and a joie de vivre spirit of fun.

Comment by Anne Alt on January 2, 2012 at 11:48am: Yes, it is ironic. I don't think we've ever seen weather like yesterday's on New Year's Day. The ride leader chose to cancel out of concern that the extreme wind gusts could push riders into the path of cars or into parked cars. I've had that happen to me in similar wind conditions. I'm sure that some of you have, too.
