U.S. Fat Bike Criterium National Championships

Saturday, Feb. 13 / 8 pm Registration Fee: $20

WHERE: Wisconsin State Capitol, Madison Wisconsin.

WHEN: Race starts at 8pm Saturday, February 13th.

WHY: Are you kidding? A once in a lifetime opportunity to be the first group to race around the Wisconsin State Capitol on a Fat Bike and ALL ON SNOW. This is just one facet of the Madison Winter Fest, so bring your spouse or family and spend the entire day at Winter Fest just kicking around the beautiful downtown Madison area.

ABOUT THE RACE: The race will start at the corner of Wisconsin St. & E. Mifflin St. Just one block East of registration. It will be held entirely on groomed ski trail around the Wisconsin State Capitol. You will not need lights, but feel free to bring them for the fun factor. Race is 30 minutes long +2 laps. Costumes are encouraged and will be rewarded for later. Race rules and possibly even race direction are subject to change, so be prepared, furthermore, anyone taking this or themselves to serious will immediately be directed off the course and beaten with a Swix CT1 ski pole.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART! Immediately following the race we will begin the after party at the Brocach Irish Pub conveniently located on the Square. Awards will be given out to the top 3 men and women, equal payout for men this year. Everyone after 3rd place will hold the standing of 4th. We will have a number of items to raffle off so be sure to attend.

Deadlines:
Deadline for Online Registration is February 13, 9pm.

Race Day Registration:
Walk up registration, packet pick up registration, and race day registration are available from 6-7:30pm. Come to the white heated tent in the area marked “registration” near the Madison Concourse Hotel at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and W. Mifflin Street.
