Description

Traffic Skills 101 will help you refine your cycling skills to drive your bike confidently and safely for transportation, fitness and recreation, in traffic and on trails. Learn to be visible and predictable, to ride on roads and through intersections, to ride in groups and to avoid crashes. It covers bicycle safety checks, fixing flats, basic maintenance, essential on-bike handling skills, traffic cycling skills and crash avoidance techniques. Traffic Skills 101 is part of the League of American Bicyclists Smart Cycling bicycle education program. The course is recommended for adults and children above age fourteen and consists of a classroom session on Saturday and a drill/ride session on Sunday. Fee: $50 pre-registered by June 13; $55 day-of-class (includes Traffic Skills 101 Student Lesson Manual).  Equipment required: Bicycle and helmet for class on Sunday.
