Our first ride of the Spring Season is a repeat of our Jefferson Park tour. Jefferson Park is Chicago Community Area #11 and sits 10 miles northwest of the Loop. Long ago, it was nicknamed, the “Gateway to Chicago” because of its transportation lines, plank roads and train stops. Farmers once came from far and wide to sell their goods in Jefferson, named to honor Thomas Jefferson.
Jefferson’s ideal location began as two Native American trails, grew to include the area’s earliest toll plank roads, and was thereafter augmented by rail and commuter lines. Today the area has a population of over 40,000, a tremendous amount of green space, historical homes and buildings throughout, and a namesake park on the National Register of Historic Places.

Wait....is there some kind of insinuation here?
@ Kevin - funny. If I don't do a long ride, I will be there!
The forecast for Saturday is a high of 54 degrees and clear. Sunday should be cloudy and warmer with a chance of precipitation. Still time to reschedule.
Or if you mean me, right here.
It was good to have you when you were here....say hi to my home state for me. Cheers - Lee
^^^^what I miss terribly since moving to NW Ohio^^^ I did get 4 under my belt before I moved. p.s. where is your Facebook page?
