Join us for this annual celebration of quasi-Polynesian pop culture and escape from the late winter doldrums! Meet at the somewhat tiki-fied Nick's Beergarden in Wicker Park, 1516 N. Milwaukee, at 4 pm, departing at 4:30. We'll pedal about 10 miles west to renowned red hot stand Gene and Jude's, 2720 River Road in River Grove, for a bite (sorry, not veggie-friendly but feel free to bring your own no-cow chow).

Then we'll head up the block to Hala Kahiki, the legendary multi-room tiki complex and gift shop where we'll enjoy Mai Tais, Scorpion Bowls and Suffering Bastards in a cozy tropical setting. Afterwards we'll head east back to the city, possibly stopping for a nightcap at Club Paradise (AKA Paradise Club), 7068 W. Belmont, a unique Polish-Polynesian hybrid.

To sweeten the deal, Josh Deth has generously donated the Taboo Tiki Cruiser bicycle he won years ago. We'll hold a free raffle to decide which lucky rider will get to go home with this white elephant, er, incredible example of the bike customizer's art.
