Description

For those who haven’t experienced Tour de Fat, it is a thrilling rite of passage that includes an unparalleled costumed bicycle parade, New Belgium beer, eccentric entertainment, local food, unusual bike contests and much more. The free event, which raises money for local nonprofits through beer and merchandise purchases, will soon exceed the $2 million mark for total funds raised. Chicago's Tour De Fat benefits West Town Bikes and we are currently signing up volunteers and offering a 2013 Tour De Fat T-shirt and 2 beer tokens. The Chainlink will be sharing a table with Chicago Neighborhood Bike Tours from 10-4:30, where we'll be handing out bookmarks, chatting up cyclists about the site, and allowing people to sign up.

And we need your help! If you could spare a couple of hours to hang out, we would really appreciate it! It's a really fun day with typically beautiful weather, and it's a nice way to meet new cyclists and support the awesome work of West Town Bikes.
